Confusion of politics gone

Good Morn…lets jump right in and look at how good it was to be under the OT Law. We hear everything horrible and detestable about bondage of the Law and how we are set free from the Law? Why did Christ Jesus say “I did not come to abolish the Law” then?

Maybe we feel like we are doing some big, charitable thing to give our food or things away to help someone. Sad that Christ had to make a law to tell people to share, notice it does not allow you to take for your gain, just to eat…beautiful….this is jail-able crime in our secular society…

“When you enter your neighbor’s vineyard, then you may eat grapes until you are fully satisfied, but you shall not put any in your basket.”

“When you enter your neighbor’s standing grain, then you may pluck the heads with your hand, but you shall not wield a sickle in your neighbor’s standing grain.”

“When you harvest the grapes in your vineyard, do not go over the vines again. Leave what remains for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow.”
Deuteronomy 23:25-25; 24:21

Here we go extremecapitalistChristianrepublicansanddems….pay close attention

“The king, moreover, must not acquire great numbers of horses for himself or make the people return to Egypt to get more of them, for the LORD has told you, “You are not to go back that way again.”

He must not take many wives, or his heart will be led astray.

He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold.

“And when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, he shall write for himself in a book a copy of this law, approved by the Levitical priests.” (what? priests? involved in politics?)

“It shall be with him and he shall

read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, by carefully observing all the words of this law and these statutes,
that his heart may not be lifted up above his brothers,

and that he may not turn aside from the commandment, either to the right hand or to the left, so that he may continue long in his kingdom, he and his children, in Israel.”

How great it would be to live in a Theocratic Kingdom again, not socialism or capitalism- government or corporations-

but the Law—

If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother,

8 but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs.

9 Beware lest there be a wicked thought in your heart, saying, ‘The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand,’ and your eye be evil against your poor brother and you give him nothing,

and he cry out to the Lord against you, and it become sin among you.

10 You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand. 11

For the poor will never cease from the land;

therefore I command you, saying, ‘You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.’

sums it up?

if you act like whats yours is only yours, the Lord is not happy.

Good Kings, do not have more than anyone else, should not have less or more. should read the Law, his Word as King David said, all the time.
